Albert, Elisa Elisa Albert is the author of How This Night is Different: Stories (Free Press/Simon & Schuster, July 2006). She grew up in Los Angeles and received her MFA in fiction from Columbia University. Her writing has appeared in Washington Square, Pindeldyboz, and the anthologies Body Outlaws (Seal Press, 2004), The Modern Jewish Girl's Guide to Guilt (Dutton, 2005), and the forthcoming Eight Nights (Algonquin, 2007). She is an adjunct assistant professor of creative writing at Columbia, and lives in Brooklyn. Free Press will publish her first novel in 2008.
