Writers at Newark Reading Group The Rutgers-Newark MFA program and the English Department are pleased to announce the Writers at Newark NPL Reading Group to coincide with our Fall schedule of Writers at Newark Reading Series. The Reading Series is a major new initiative that brings fifteen nationally prominent writers of fiction, poetry and nonfiction to campus each year; the readings and discussions are free to the public. The Reading Group, co-sponsored by The Newark Public Library, and led by MFA Fellows Chris Caruso and Nick Ripatrazone, is an intimate and lively discussion group, which uses the texts of the authors in the Reading Series and then provides the opportunity to hear the author read and to ask questions. The Reading Group will meet initially on September 8th (see full calendar below) for orientation and check-out of books which are reserved at NPL for members. We have approximately 10 spots for the Reading Group. Members MUST be able to make a commitment to reading the books, and to coming to the 5 meetings and 4 readings specified below. Calendar of meetings and locations: ALL MEETINGS ARE ON TUESDAY NIGHTS
